Trisha Wong believes that feeling healthy and fulfilled requires equal partnership and support among individuals, families, community, and healthcare. This often starts with a humble conversation about our past lived experiences and learned facts, but continues with an unwavering goal of improving the individual and collective futures of people living in Oregon and Southwest Washington affected by hemoglobin disorders. She has worked with adults and children affected by inherited blood disorders for over 20 years and, although tires of unnecessary complexities, never tires of the people she meets and the relationships built.
She is Chinese-American and grew up in and out of San Francisco and Oakland Chinatowns. She loves to travel to learn new cultures. In exchange for the support and enrichment that she has received from the west coast Asian American and Pacific Islander community across her lifetime, she hopes to give back. She looks forward to the opportunity to meet and work with more people from all backgrounds within the who share this same vision.
